Naya Kanga also known as Ganja-la Chuli is the most accessible towering peak over the South of alpine Langtang valley. This peak can be viewed from the hill above Kyangjin Gompa.
Naya Kanga is sharply rising to the west of the Ganja La (5122m) which is also a popular adventurous trekking route giving access to Helambu and Kathmandu Valley.

Naya Kanga (5,844 m) rises to the west of Ganja La is a popular but difficult mountain to climb. The normal route of this peak follows the snowy north-east ridge.

The first climber of this peak is still unknown. The most important reward of climbing Naya Kanga is the stunning view of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang (7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and mighty Shishapangma (8027m) on the Tibetan side. Easy access to the region and availability of several snow peaks scattered around for acclimatization make this region an ideal destination for mountaineers..

Itinerary

On arrival in Kathmandu Airport, you would be met and received by our representative & transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Kathmandu visiting Durbar Square, a complex of palaces, courtyard and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. In the afternoon visit the Swoyambunath Stupa and Patan City. Swoyambhunath Stupa, atop the hillock is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal enlisted in the World Heritage Site. Patan City is an enchanting melange of palace buildings, artistic courtyard and former palace complex. One remarkable monument here is a 16th century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Krishna, built entirely of stone.

After having the early morning breakfast at Kathmandu, we will drive towards the Syabrubesi viewing the wonderful sight through the windows of the vehicle. The drive will continue for about 7 to 8 hours through the main trail to reach Syabrubesi. The night will be at Syabrubesi at 1450m.

From Syabrubesi, we will walk towards the lama hotel. The trekking will continue for about 6 to 7 hours through the main trail. We will follow our way through the forest and will rest the night at the lama hotel at the altitude of 2640m above sea level.

From the lama hotel, after having the delicious breakfast we will trek towards the Langtang village. The trekking will continue for about 6 to 7 hours through the main trail. The trail will go through the forest of the rhododendron. We will spend our leisure time at the Langtang village viewing and exploring the village. The night will be resting at the Langtang village.

From Langtang village, we will walk towards the Kyangjin Gompa. After walking for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trail we will reach the Kyangjin Gompa. The night will be at Kyanjin Gompa and the leisure time that we will get there will be spent exploring around the Kyangjin Gompa and other places of the region.

From Kyangjing Gompa, we will trek towards the Ganja la Phedi. The trekking towards the Ganja la Phedi will continue for several hours. During the trekking towards the Ganja la Phedi we can get the panoramic view of the high hills along with the beautiful surroundings. The night will be at Ganja la Phedi at the altitude of 4300m above sea level.

From the Phedi of the Ganja la Phedi, we will begin our climbing towards the Naya kanga high camp. The climbing towards the high camp of the Naya kanga will be exciting as we can get the panoramic view of the region from the height. The night will be at the high camp of the Naya kanga at the tented camp.

From the high camp of the Naya kanga peak, we will make our journey towards the summit of the Naya kanga peak. The climbing towards the summit of the Naya kanga peak will go for hours through the main climbing route. The view that we can get from the summit of the Naya kanga peak is incomparable with anything in this entire world too. Then, we will return back to the high camp of the Naya kanga peak to stay the night at tented camp.

If everything goes as pre planned, we will trek towards the Dukpu without making any reserve day for any unseen problem that may arise during the peak climbing at Naya kanga peak. After the successful encounter of the Naya kanga peak, we will return towards the Dukpu where we will rest the night at one of the local lodges.

From Dukpu, we will walk towards the Tharkeghyang viewing. The trail will first descend and then climb. The trekking trail will follow the forest of rhododendron, pine and other different types of plants. The night will be at Tharkeghyang at the altitude of 2740m above sea level.

From Tharkeghyang, we will walk towards the Sermathang and will continue the same trail to reach the Melamchi Pul bazaar. The trail descends towards the Melamchi Pull bazaar through the meadows and some grassy lands. Walking in this region will be quite pleasant. The nights will be at Melamchi Pul bazar.

From Melamchi Pul bazar, we will drive towards Kathmandu viewing and enjoying the glorious view of the road side from the windows of our vehicle. The drive will continue for about 6 to 7 hours. The night will be resting at Kathmandu.

After Breakfast transfer to the airport for your next destination.
