Champadevi hiking is a new hiking trail around Kathmandu valley, which is about 16 km from the Kathmandu city. This is an easy and pleasant day hike in the southern hill of Pharping village. Passing through greenery, farmlands, Buddhist monasteries, and pine forest will make your hike memorable.

We will be hiking about 7 miles, the hike started innocently at the beginning but the fairly route will get steeper while getting closer to the top. From the Champadevi hill (2285m) we will we can observe bustling Kathmandu city, local villages and Panoramic Mountains including Langtang, Gauri Shankar, Jugal, Dorje Lakpa and others. There are no hotels and tea houses on this trail so we will take a packed lunch.

From Champa Devi Hill we can see Kathmandu Valley, Patan, Bungamati, and Bhaktapur valley. If you want to spend a night nearby then Hattiban Resort can be a good place. The resort is very quiet, clean and on top of the hill into the pine forest.
